Shelter
- Tent- Bigger one better for families with room for gear (For example: 8 person tent recommended for 6 people plus gear). A smaller tent could house older kids while mom & dad sleep in larger tent with gear & younger kids.
- Tent stakes and mallet.
- Doormat or outdoor carpet to wipe muddy feet before entering the tent.
- Ground cloth: To put under the tent to protect the bottom. Should be slightly smaller than tent.
- Tarps: You can never have too many tarps. You can use them to protect the floor of your tent or create an awning over a doorway or picnic table.
- Broom/dustpan: For keeping your tent clean. Just a small whisk broom set is great.
- Sleeping bags, sleeping pads or airbeds (highly recommended for all ages!)
- Pillows & cases, a blow up pillow works okay, flattens to save space.
- Sheets: for light warmth on a hot night, or they can double as a picnic blanket.
- Extra blankets: We recommend fleece blankets, nights in the mountains can get chilly, even in summer.
Utility
- Camping Chairs.
- Lantern w/ fuel & funnel, propane bottle, or batteries.

- Swiss army knife, find a good one that has several tools like pliers, wrench, scissors, etc.
